What is up? Cape Asami Hink you're tuned into about a guide podcast. This is your host Jesse with me not, And I will tell you all about that later. But first, let me welcome you all to my first episode. I'm so excited. Uh, I have I have so much to say. I have so much to talk about. And I hope you're already because you know, you all are You gonna smile, laugh, cry, think imagined Just just there's so much. And, um, I really hope that this podcast just makes you feel a little bit of everything. Ah, this episodes called about a guy and Ah, and I'll be telling you all a little bit about myself and what this podcast is about. And just so you know, um, I'm pretty sure it's because in Puerto Rican, but I speak really fast and I'm really sorry ahead of time. Uhm, I'm going to try and slow down, but when I get excited, I'm all over the place. So, um and I'm really excited right now, as you can tell, Um, so ah, this podcast is is basically about how much I have to learn about being a human being in this world right now today, you know, with everything that's going on, all the labels that have been created, um, to put, you know, people into boxes and Teoh just always have a need to put a name to something, um, that they don't know or that they're they're unfamiliar with. And as the person as a man today, I can't just be a man, or I can't just be a guy. And so, um, you know, I have I have a lot of stories about that, Um, and what those labels mean to me and everything, and so I'll be sharing. Hilarious. Ah, sometimes serious sometimes. You know, sad stories. Um, but also interviews, interviews of people that have been through this process in this experience with me. Um, and that's all experiences. Not just just one, but, um, just its journey in general. And ah, And also, I'll be interviewing some people that have gone to similar through similar experiences themselves. So I'm really excited about that. Uh, this is you know, this is a personal journal, so that so that you can follow that journey. Um, and hopefully hopefully relate to them because you know my experiences. Um, there they're not. They're probably not as different as you would imagine. And you know that that's what this is really all about. You know, we're all different in our own little worlds. But, you know, deep down there's a connection between all of us. And I hope that you will are able to relate to my stories and my experiences along the way. Um, a little bit about myself. I'm a body quite like I said before. Um, my family is from Puerto Rico. Um, I was born and raised in key. See me, Florida A k a. Ah, Disney world. I mean, basically, like, right down the street from Disney. So, um, I grew up battling mosquitos and love bugs. And if you don't know what those are, you're probably not from Florida. Lucky you. Um, but ah, but, you know, you should definitely look those up because those air crazy and, um yeah, yeah, your cars won't like them or you or tasting them. That's yet I've had my fair share of love bug snacks. Um, yeah. Eso eso. Basketball was my first love. Um, but now I'm in a committed relationship with football, and we've been going pretty steady for some time now. You know? Why? Can't complain. Can't complain. Things have been good. Um, I, uh you know, I I love I love I love sports. So, um, so there's a little bit of everything you know, there's a little bit of all of that. Um go hawks. By the way, um, when I was about eight or nine, I told my mom I wanted to go to live. I wanted to go live in Seattle, and, um, it was really random, I guess, from my mom because she was like, What the fuck? Seattle. Um And, uh, then 13 or 14 years after that, um, you know, I packed my bags, and, um, and my mom sent me off, and, uh, I haven't, You know, I haven't looked back like this has been Yeah, and Ah, and I've been here for seven years now, and, you know, I don't plan on looking back. I love this place. Um, I have met and still have many guardian angels and or very fairy godparents or whatever You want to call them, um, that have entered my life and have affected and have influenced me in some type of way, and, um, and I honestly don't know where I'd be if it weren't for them. So I definitely wanted to mention that because, um, all of us, even if we don't wanna, you know, really admit it. We all need a little help sometimes. And I'm very blessed to have had a zoom any. You know, people help me the way that they have. So, um, I am currently in a state of self love and growth double time because where in quarantine? But I have been loving myself to the extremes. I have been investing in myself, and, um and I'm really excited about so far the outcomes of that. And I can't wait to see what it's gonna look like, you know, a year from now, a few months from now. And, um, yeah, I just I just think it's really important to do that. So that's that's the state out that I'm in currently, um, I have ah, the best. And I mean the best family. Ah, they mean everything to me. And if you know me or my family, you know what's up. So, um, along with that, my mom. She's my best friend and I don't care who knows it. So, um, my mom, man, I love my mom so much. She's she's cheese the shit. I mean, there's no other way. Ah, she's hilarious. She's sweet, She's tender, She's ferocious. She's a diva. She's a queen. I mean, you name it. That's yeah, that's my mom. And if you know her, you are so lucky to know her because she's just she's amazing. Um, I love absolutely love music, movies and art and just really anything that make me feel, um, you know, And I'm talking about things like, you know, watching a movie that that makes me cringe. Or a movie that makes me cry or, ah, movie that makes me, you know, want to call my mom afterward or call my, you know, call my family members who call my brother or, you know, whatever. Just just things that make me feel. Music music is really big with with that, um, with me as well. Um, and I love technology. Technology has been a really big part of my life for a really long time, and, um, and it was actually really, really amazing to see how that passion for technology and, um, I moved to Seattle And how that kind of coincided and where I'm at today. Um, so yes. So I'm Yeah, I love it so much. Um, I also love to work out because I love t heat. Um, and so I try to keep a good balance, but I'm not really good at it. I like sometimes I'm eating and and I haven't worked out, and so, um, I try. I really try. I'm telling you, really try to work out as much as I can because, you know, I need to make sure that that that balances at a steady, uh, first of all because apparently, um, this entire covert experiences just, ah, me getting ready for summer 2021 bod. Um and so I really need to make sure that I keep that, you know, keep that under wraps. Um, and the And last but not least, I'm of trans experience, and Ah, and that's really part. That's really important. Really big part of my my being today. Um, but, um, I always like to say that that doesn't define the and, um, you know, that's really you know, that's Ah, it's another layer of this podcast and another layer of like the person that I am today. Um, but, you know, I'm I'm a lot of things. Ah, but most importantly, you know, I'm a son. Ah, brother on uncle, a nephew, friends and just a lot of things to a lot of people. And I'm proud of the man that I am to all of them. So, you know, I'm just I'm just a guy with a lot to talk about, but ah, but every episode will definitely delve into one or more of the topics that I just touched on. So, um, you know, I have I have some pretty great stories and interviews coming up, So I hope you'll stay locked in and come back for next week's episode because let me tell you again, my mom's the shit and she's gonna be my first guest. I'm I'm so over the moon about this because you know my mom, she has, you know, she has a lot that she's been going through as well. And she's coming on to answer some questions about her experience as a woman, as a mother and my friend throughout my transition. And, um, man, I'm I'm just so hyped about it because, ah, I feel blessed that she's achieving agreeing, um, end in yet. And I think, you know, I think people are gonna love what she has to say. Eso make sure you tune in to hear us be extremely awkward and nervous for a little bit and then kind of find our footing. But, um but that's it for this quick intro episode. You know, I know that this is quick, and it probably wouldn't have been so quick if I wasn't talking 70,000 miles per hour, and I'm really sorry about that again, but that's about it.
